About My Blog

I have started this blog to accomplish the following objectives:

1. I wanted for a long time to write. Nothing in particular, but random thoughts and ideas that ‘bother’ me from time to time. I guess this would be the perfect platform to do that.

2. I want to connect with like-minded people through the blog. Hopefully get feedback about the topics I share, with regards to both content and relevance.

3. Create my own personal space in the Blogosphere.

That is just about it as far as the blog is concerned.

Incidentally, I would like to share some info about my header photograph. It is a cropped-up version of the photograph given below:

Boulevard du Temple

The photograph is titled “Boulevard du Temple“. What is interesting about the photograph is that it was the first ever photograph of a person. See if you can make out the man in the bottom left corner, getting his boots polished. The photo was taken by one Louis Daguerre in late 1838 or early 1839.

It is of a busy street, but because exposure time was over ten minutes, the city traffic was moving too much to appear. The exception is the man who stood still getting his boots polished long enough to show up in the picture.
